Selected by Andrew Folan and Brian Fay both distinguished practitioners in printmaking. Andrew Folan, lecturer of Fine Art Print at NCAD and former Chairman of the Black Church Print Studio and Brian Fay, lecturer of Fine Art Print at DIT. Milestones is a culmination of work created by past and present members of the Black Church Print Studio from its inception in 1982 to the present day and is a celebration of excellence in Irish Printmaking over the last 25 years. Milestones is the bringing together of 25 years of artistic production and contains work of contrasting styles and range of technique. Themes include visual responses to literature, landscape and space, process led work, self and identity, the extraordinary in the everyday and art as social/political engagement.
