Fiach Mac Conghail, director of the Abbey Theatre selected and will officially opened the exhibition. This exhibition is a showcase of work produced by current members at the Black Church Print Studio. Exhibiting artists include Kate Betts, Aoife Dwyer, Mary Fitzgerald, Fiona McDonald, Tom Moore, Margaret O'Brien, Sinéad O'Reilly, Louise Peat, Alison Pilkington, Piia Rossi, Naomi Sex, Michael Timmins and Stephen Vaughan. The subject matter varies from representational to abstract to photographic work. ‘Hung, drawn and quartered' showcases old and new printing techniques side by side. It celebrates the historical practice of lithography and etching with works by Michael Timmins and Mary Fitzgerald but also offers an insight into new media and techniques being explored in the studio. Included are lambda prints by Margaret O'Brien, aluminum electro-etching prints by Fiona McDonald and three-dimensional work by Piia Rossi and Kate Betts.
